This is beautiful...

For some reason this song made me think of Canon... no not the printer >: Pachelbel was his name if i'm not mistaken?

Ok so this is what i think in general, the beginning is sweet but it's too repetitive because it's always the 1 - 1 - 123 pattern. The final notes could have been played only once instead of 3 times i was wondering when it was going to end. But for the rest, this is a marvelous piece of piano.

Beautiful melody, keep up the good work and have a 5... it's on the house.

itsameyayo responds:

Yeah, of course it made you think of the printer, lol.

-Yeah, that song is the tightest piano in my opinion. Yeah, the ending was a screwup, understood! I'll have to change this song up a little. I do have another piano piece I'd like to share, I'm just too lazy to do it, lol!

-Thanks much!

Best intro ever!

Except i would have put some sirens of when nuclear bombs are incoming instead of some police ones.

What do you use to make your songs... live instruments? Anywho, this is a great song but it doesn't semm to end. I feel like your are just fading this out in the middle part. I know that this is just a demo, maybe the full version will be longer/end in a different way?

Great song, continue on your excellent music making journey ( didn't want to write "keep it up" cause i write that all the time :D )

Sandwhich-lord responds:

most of the guitar is live but i have to admit i had to speed some of the tempo up , the drums are from a sample and so is the intro guitar.
thanks for the review and the new endings gonna kik ass.

Very nice indeed!

Are you still using fruity loops? I'm asking this cause of these electric guitars and the pad that you used in the beginning.

And about that pad... i found it quite weird and didn't really fitted the song. The melody is very hardcore and good... very "killer".

You sure know how to compose and arrange songs in a very good manner. Everything is flowing really nicely in this song.

Volume levels are good, the only thig that i'd change is the hats volume... it sounds a bit too loud in my opinion.

The guitars started to get on my nerves a little bit after hearing the loop a couple of times in a row but i know how hard it is to come across good samples and especially electric guitars or any "real sounding" guitars for that matter.

Good job on this song, your are as good as you have always been and i don't think i need to tell you to keep it up because i know that you are smart enough to know that you make kick ass songs and i also know that you do not plan on stopping any time soon :D

P.S. I know your profile says that people can add you to msn but i wont bother you or waste your time i would only like to ask if you could drop me a review when/if you have the time... t'would really cheer me up.

MaestroSorrow responds:

Thanks GeneralLeo. You are right, i've had three people now tell me to find better guitar samples, and thankfully one ACTUALLY told me where to get better samples!

So go me!

Hi-Hat was too loud? Maybe its my earphones, I barely hear them on this end.

I'll take a gander at your songs as well, sorry for the uber delayed response ^^.

Thanks for the review, means a lot.

Well...

I'd say it's a pretty average loop, no offense.
This applies to both songs as they are almost identical. The melody is good, the weird soud you have in the middle was not to my liking very much.

This would have been alot better if the drums would have been more present. Some snares wouldn't have hurted anybody :)

Keep it up though, you can't succeed on the first try. I'll be checking your audio in some days and i hope that you will have a new song on here.

Maverick-Studios responds:

Leo,

Thanks for the review man. Heh, yeah we made this loop a day after we got our software. We've made plenty of new ones and I'm hoping to put them up soon. You see, we're a Game Design Studio and I make it so that everyone knows the software, so you'll see much betetr songs in the future.
Regards,
The Maverick.

Quite enjoyable.

This song is good, but there are a few flaws. The first thing is that the intro is too long. Hearing this drum pattern 16 times in a row was a little annoying. I think that maybe just 2 times or at maximum 4 times in arow would be enough. I think that the key to making good music is to try and keep it less repetitive as possible.

Of course if you have this great 16 bars pattern that has lots of instruments playing then i don't mind at all, even if you play it twice in a row. But if it this just a snare and a kick then it needs to be short.

The rest of the song is pretty good and well made. I really like the part in the middle where it really picks up and the beat is really nice.

Keep up the good work :)

Electrik-Insult responds:

Thanks dude, i was unsure bout this track n i think ur right. I'll put a modified version on soon.

Very good...

but not as good as your other one. I think it's because of the main guitar... it doesn't sound too good, hurts my ears a little.

But the rest is awesome i love the small notes your background guitars are playing, the beat is simple in some places but very effective.

All in all it's great track despite that hurtful guitar :)

zerendra responds:

Thanks dude!

The beginning sounds like....

James Bond styled theme :D But i do think i have heard this before when i was a kid.

Very short song, this one loops very well too with the silence at the end is not too long. Do you transpose everything perfectly as to keep it an integral version of the song or do you add stuff as well in your sonic remixes? Good song, it's a shame it's that short :)

Now i will tell you about my "new" technic to try and loop flawlessly. Well it's pretty simple.
Open your song in acid pro and cut a little part at the end of your song, less then half a second or so. Because when you export your song into mp3, the program automatically adds about half a scond or less of silence at the beginning and at the end of your loop. Even if you remove it all the program reads it again and again :( So what i did is remove a little bit of my song and the silence part makes up for the missing bit of my song.

I think it's because that when we listen to a song we get used to hearing the instruments play notes at a certain lenght so when the last note of the song is shorter by so little and the silent part is there, it's like our minds are adding the missing part because it got used to certain lenght of notes... and it loops great or almost :D

I hope i didn't lose you with all these explanations, because i know that sometimes i say thigs in a complicated way without noticing how simpler i could have put it. And to top it off english is not my first language so there could very well be mistakes.

Take a listen to my song "Enlightened by the Night" and you'll see that this one loops ten times better then my other song.

Grumbleduke responds:

And here's me thinking this was the world's most extensive review for a 25 second loop...

When I do remixes, I go through different trains of thought. Sometimes I try to keep it as accurate as I can (FF8 The Landing), or I might have an idea that I think works well (FF9 You're Not Alone). The others I remix in my own style, but keeping to the general feel of the original, like this one. The loop itself in the game is only this long too, minus a brief intro, and I was thinking about the potential Flash authors for file size; you never know what will get used :).

The looping method you described was what I did here; I set the out-point a 1/32 note early before exporting (different program and everything).

Woah very nice!

Very cool song you have here. A day at church indeed but to me it sounded like something from a video game. You know when the high priest turns out to be an evil guy. You kind of have the "holiness" and at the same the "evil" in the same song. Very nice.

My only complaint would be that the bells are a little overused but it's nothing major. Good work on this song. I hope you'll be making more in the futur.

LoneInstrumentalist responds:

ahhh welllllll, never thought of it that way, tnx for the review :) i WILL make more if i learn how to use FL soon.......its kinda hard for a newbi (me) :'x

cheerios, yea, it sounded 'off' coz i forgot the reverb >.>

Just wow!

Just a short review to tell you how much i enjoy this song. I love that guitar.

I have taken a listen to some of your songs and so far this is the one that i like most. But i have to say that "Sad Little Detune", "Those Soulful Chinese" and "Blitz" are awesome as well.

You have great skills and talent and you have a pretty unique style with your name on it, maybe it's because of your age and that your musical influences are very much different as to mine for example :D

Keep up the great work.

LJCoffee responds:

Thanks man! - I appreciate the compliments. This seems to be the most popular track here.

I'll have to make it a point to review some of your stuff as well.

Thanks again!

Hello my name is Larry :D

I think that this is it. The hi hats are just there to try and take my attention away from what is really important.

The song itself is pretty weird, your intruments sound nice but the way the precussions are made, because of the morse code, it sounds like it is a bit random. When i listen to this song i feel like i am passing through some sort of vortex or something ( you know like in the cartoons when they go through time or something? ) or i feel like everything is so close to me and at the same time everything is thousands of miles away from me :D Lol never mind that, i'm just weird.

Nonetheless I enjoyed this puzzle very much, although it was nothing super hard it just had my brains working for a little while :D

LJCoffee responds:

heh - you got a part of it... Hello my name is larry...

That's one of four pieces of information - I figured that morse code would clue a few people in - get them in the right frame of mind for the rest of the pieces...

btw - the hats aren't necessarily only a distractor - they may contain their own message.

:)

Hi, i make music as a hobby. From time to time i should upload a song. The best way to support me is to buy my music on bandcamp, it would really make my day. Share your art, take care, see you later.
