Excellent!

This is an amazing collab. Congrats to you and to MaestroSorrow on this amazing piece of work.

The voices do sound a bit weird. But are still ok, they jsut feel a little awkward. Maybe if they were more voices and that they were regualrised they wouldn't feel weird, well to me anyway, it's just a matter of taste.

The rest of the song is mind blowing! The piano is superb, so is the beat and everything else.

Great work, i hope your next collab turns out as good as this one if not better.

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Ahhh yes... the voices... well... my voice anyways. I guess I'm gunna hafta officially release a version without em. No problem... that's what reviews are for. I really like the beat myself... when I went to Maestro with it... we immediatley decided that that's what our Collab would be. :)... Good choice I guess. Thanks very much.

A new hope indeed.

That's exactly what i see when i hear this song.
I really like how you introduced your drums in this song. All the melodies fit well together. Nice pad usage as well. I would have added some nice strings all throughout the song maybe? It's just a thought.

Nonetheless, good job on this song.

johnfn responds:

Man, you're on a reviewing rampage :)

Thanks. Actually that little drum roll thing was a little to loud (I change the volume of the drums after it, its supposed to be quieter) but I guess I got lucky :D

Strings, thats genuis.. dang. Although with all that stuff I had going on I was having difficulty hearing everything and strings probably wouldn't have helped that (I'm just reasoning it with myself here because I didn't do it, I think you're totally right :P)

Thanks for the review again! I think I'm going to go review all your songs as well.. hehe.

I like this very much.

I like this loop alot. Now i don't want to insult you, but this sounds like a cross between depeche mode and something else. The good part is that you get to chose that something else :D

Great song, i like how you all laid it down. I didn't really like that sound you had at the intro. Putting that sound alone like this did not appeal to me very much but then with the rest of the instruments it fitted better.

This is definately making me want to check some more of your stuff. Good song and keep it up.

DavidOrr responds:

Yea... very harsh instrument- I agree with you there. I need some better sounds, luckly reason 3.0 will be in my hands as of January 31st!! Thanks for the review!

The end of my adventure?

You mean like game over? If not, i'd see this in a sad/dramatic situation, or maybe for rpg castles music. Wherever i'd see this music, it doesn't matter. This is good, that's what matters. Very calm melody.

Very nice song, keep it up.

Grumbleduke responds:

Though it wasn't credited as such, this music was used at the end of GreenCastle: Double Exodus, and seemed to work very nicely. Despite this, I did mean a "Game Over" type end, and GreenCastle proves there are other uses. Go play it (unsubtle ad).

I love your style.

This is another great song. I don't see it as a boss fight at all. But more of a hero theme or something similar, an act of courage maybe?

This songs reminds me of terranigma for the Snes if you've ever played it.

I would haved loved to have this song longer.

This is excellent music. Great job.

Grumbleduke responds:

I know it's short, and the mp3 encoder I used was poor to say the least. It slowed this song down, and I was limited to 60 seconds (damn free stuff). The tracks of Gravity Beetle onwards used a different encoder, and are better.

Great song!

I really like this song. Melody is great. You really have some talent. I would have liked some hi hats to go with the kicks and snares, just me though. I love the last part of the song. I like how you chained all the different parts, it was very professional.

Excellent work. Keep it up.

Grumbleduke responds:

Very kind of you to say so, and I too love the last part of the song (fyi that bit was written first and the beginning went with it). The whole thing is actually over 4 minutes, too long for ng without really dropping the quality. Thanks again.

Another good track.

The beginning of this track, to me, sets off a good atmosphere. The middle part where you introduce the piano was a little bit odd. I like the bassline in this one, i would have liked it a little louder. The beat was good and suited the song well. Nice work on this song.

johnfn responds:

Thanks for the review as usual :D

Yeah, I'm proud of the beginning of this song. :P

You're right about the piano... some fades would have done me good ;)

Thanks again!

I like this.

Well, at first i didn't knew what you were talking about when you meant chase. But when your drums came in it was all obvious.

Two things i have to say. First off, i think that your pad is a little too loud. Second, I (personal taste) would have left the beat going when you switched the melody.

Maybe another instrument instead of piano would have given this song an even more "chase" feel to it. I really like that bassline by the way.

Good work, keep it up.

johnfn responds:

Thanks for the review :D

About the pad, hm, you may be right. I was just trying to make it sound evil, but I may have overdone it in retrospect.

You may be right about the beat, although (also as you said) its personal taste and might have worked well either way.

I kinda liked the piano, maybe I didn't add the right effects, maybe you're right. Dunno, I might have to experiment ^^

Very nice song.

I like the melody you got there. And the beat is good. I don't really like the main kick that you used for this song, but it was well hidden in the other drums.

All in all it's a good song. Keep up the good work.

johnfn responds:

Thanks for the review! :D

And I'll try to keep up the good work... nothing guarenteed though, I try something new each song.

PS - Thanks a ton for reviewing my other songs, I owe you a few reviews ^^

Very very nice!

I like how you made it longer and added more melodies to it. I have to ask you one thing. Where do you get your samples? And can i get some too. Could you point me towards something better than sytrus pack (if you use FL Studio you know what i'm talking about). I don't want your samples cause that's just silly but something in between if not, it's ok. It's not your job in the first place.

OK, now for the track, the exploding begining, is it for looping purposes or just that's cause you wanted to start it with a bang. I myself would have gone for a softer intro, then go with that bang and have the song go along.

This song is very nice like i said earlier. It's hard to have good sounding bells, well in my opinion anyways, so nice job on that.

Great work overall! Keep it up.

MaestroSorrow responds:

Of course, I will email you concerning my instruments and sounds I use.

Thnx for the review ^^.

Hi, i make music as a hobby. From time to time i should upload a song. The best way to support me is to buy my music on bandcamp, it would really make my day. Share your art, take care, see you later.
