To put it in one word...

Amazing! You guys make an excellent duo. This song is pure beauty. The piano is wonderful. The strings and the choir as well.

This is a great relaxing peace. I hope you guys are planing on making more. Great work guys!

MaestroSorrow responds:

oh we will... we will.

MilkMan_Dan has offered to carry my baby, and though I refuse many many times, he simply won't stop offering.

SO I keep him busy with collabs ^^.

Many thanks for the review.

Simple yet very good.

I've checked your other pieces and this is the one that i liked the most from you for now. With time you will develop great skills, that i am sure of.

I really liked the intro, and those intruments you used. It would have been good if your strings played another melody instead of the same melody that the lead plays. Or keep the strings as they are and put something else in there just to keep it diverse throughout all the song. Some snares would have been nice too.

It's still a very good song. Keep at it, one day you won't even beleive the great things you'll make.

Dj-Edxtreme responds:

Thanks now i know that im somewhat good at this. XD

Awesome!

Fun fact : the begining threw me off completely because... because of that bassline. It was not to my liking very much, but then the rest of the song arrived and my mouth hit the floor.

This could be an excellent theme song to anything, i'm thinking some "spy" theme or some "highway chase" theme.
Hmm, as a combat theme, a little less, unless you mean some futuristic battle. I don't really see this in a rpg, but if it would be i would still enjoy it very much.

So far so good, i think what you just need is a little recognition, a frontpage or a weekly top 5 wouldn't hurt you, and you really deserver it. Great song, 5/5.

That's one good mega man song.

I like this song alot. It loops almost flawlessly. The drums volume are too soft in my opinion, i mean i can hardly hear them.

The guitars were good. I feel the song is a bit empty though, because you only have 2 guitars and a drumset. If there is a bass, i can hardly hear that as well. Not your best but still good.
4/5.

Grumbleduke responds:

I'm still getting used to the set-up I just got, so the levels are not perfect by any means. I agree it's not my best; my own stuff is my best :). Because I have to transfer the files from one computer to another, they sound different on each one.

There isn't really a bassline in this piece; just the rhythm and lead. The ryhthm line is supported by a rock organ, that's about as bass as I got. You'll see better form me soon.

I like the guitar.

It's an ok song to me. The flute intro i liked alot, the guitar too, but the harp melody kind of removed to that "western" theme you want. It felt to me like the desert vs. the ice cave.

It still builds a great suspense/atmosphere. Good work.

P.S. I don't have any connections :(

Grumbleduke responds:

Funny really, the harp is actually the same guitar, just 2 octaves up with modulating pan. OK I admit with two people saying it's not wild western I wrote the description wrong; I should have left it at just "deserty-type scenes", which makes a lot more sense.

LOL :D

This is a good song, but the animal sounds are just funny to me. All of your other instruments sound great.

This is just a preview, i know. If i was doing this song, i would have a good intro, decent in lenght and in that intro i'd have some river sound with your animal sounds and all, but not in the main song (i'm talking before the synths and everything). That's just how i feel about it. Those bells sound really nice, i usually have a problem with bells in songs because i don't feel that they sound natural.

Still this is a good preview. Can't wait for the real thing.

DavidOrr responds:

I agree completely about the animal sounds, I took all but the light wind/river/bird sounds at the beginning...sounds MUCH MUCH better. Hmm, I'll try out the intro you describe, it may work out quite nicely :). Thanks for the suggestions and review!

I like this song alot.

At first I was going to suggest that you put a nice beat on this track, and then it appeared, my wish had come true (you see i was reviewing while listening).

When i listen to this i see this great tribe leader who's about to kick some serious ass (that's the part where the beat picks up).

I really like the instruments you have in that song. You get my 5. Awesome work, keep it up.

RyeGuyHead responds:

why thanks general

It's not my style...

but it's good nonetheless. This made me think of Sin City for some unknown reason. As your description says, this is a good investigater's theme.

I think this could also serve as a "in the casino with the big gamblers" theme, but it might just be me.

Good song, you seem to be able to make any style of music and do it good. 4 out of 5 from me. Keep up the good work.

Grumbleduke responds:

I see this music being used in any sort of "seedy big city" theme. I don't really do jazz either, but I'll give most things a try. I'll keep 'em coming, one way or another. Give it a week or so and fresh material may be on its way too.

This is beautiful!

Great song. A little happy town where everyone enjoys life. You are getting better by the minute (or by the song if you prefer :D).

A career in the video gaming industry never interested you? Making music of coure, great music like this.

Congrats on this song, I think's it's my favorite of yours up until now.
Keep it up. You get a 5 from me too.

Grumbleduke responds:

If you've got any connections, I might consider pursuing that career line. Not that I've ever thought about it, he lied badly. I guess I'll have to carry on making high-quality porn music.

Same thing as Dark Exultation

Another good remake, the loop is better than the original but still a little slow to loop, not your fault though.

Damn man, i'm just reviewing here and voting you a good 5 and the zero voters are on your case just while i'm doing this. This means your stuff is good. And don't bother with them, zero voters are nothing to care about.

Keep up the good work, is your next new original song underway or is it still sleeping in the depths of your mind?

Grumbleduke responds:

Fear not, General Leo, I am slowly releasing songs I have already done, as recently I lost the use of Garageband (my good music program) because of employer change. One day I'll have the money to have my own copy and make more. I'm just putting out stuff I have done (Never a Farewell, Entrance and Seduce etc) at the moment. I'm well aware of the zero voters who feel music shouldn't have a high score because it's higher than Paragon X9 or Maestro, but votes pan themselves out eventually based on the merit of the music. The "Generic Boss Loop" hit a low of 2.17 before rising from the ashes to its current standing, so the zero voters don't win in the end anyway. Their loss for being gittish for the most part. I've been quite a gasbag this review!

Again Leo thank you for your support and keep voting justly, whether it be 5 or 0; it's opinions that really count, not politics.

Hi, i make music as a hobby. From time to time i should upload a song. The best way to support me is to buy my music on bandcamp, it would really make my day. Share your art, take care, see you later.
