"Half and half for me..."

date: August 21, 2006

What i'm saying is that there was like half of the things in this song that i didn't enjoy too much.

Like the piano and the repetitive drums. The drums need better eq by the way, the hi hats are really screwing things up cause they are too loud.

The fade in at the beginning was really nice. Some parts where you had the changes like with the guitar and such were good.

Good luck with the contest.

Author's Response:

thanks i guess for the luck i have no idea how well itll do.

"Wow nice song."

submission: Tankmen Attack!
date: August 21, 2006

Loved the intro and that bass. The instrument changes are nice and without them i fear that the song would have been extremely repetitive.

The middle part was really neat when it changed for i think 2 bars if i remember correctly.

This song could have and would have benefitted alot if there would have been some extra melodies and a little variety in the drums.

All in all you did a good job on this song. Good luck with the contest.

Author's Response:

:D I wanted to see how big i could make my response. :D no offense to you. I tried to shake things up at the end, glad you noticed. :) Thanks for the review,

T7th Avenue (Tankmen theme)

"Woah jazz...."

date: August 21, 2006

This is pretty slick song man. I really liked the brass and the elec piano alot in this song.

The drums were nicely done. Ths song is a bit repetitive but not so much, i think that it's only during the first part that it feels repetitive.

The "icey pad" was a great add on. Some of the bassline's notes were too loud at some points.

All in all it's a great song and i enjoyed listening to it. Good luck with the contest.

This song is pretty good but it could have used alot of melody developement. It so needed a lead guitar playing on some high notes, fast paced, mega killer solo or something.

How long did it take to make this track, out of curiosity. IT could have kicked so much more ass man :(

The drums were very nice and i liked the sample of the first guitar, twas great.

Good luck with the contest.

Author's Response:

it took me about a day.. and yes I know i wanted a high paced lead guitar but NOONE WOULD DO IT FOR ME! *angry glare towards certain ppl*

ah well.

thanks for the review.

"Original... yes!"

date: August 21, 2006

Wierd? Yes yes!

I was reading DarK's review and i laughed so hard when i saw "Sounds more like a drunken bastard tries to score." Haha!

This song has it's good moments... some parts sound not too good, especially the background guitar.. is it playing in a nother key than the rest cause it's really messing thigs up.

Anyways, the song has been playing 3 times now and i'm going to stop it.

Lucky for you that you submitted something else for the contest. This serves as a good plan B lol.

Good luck with the contest. Now onto the other song.

Author's Response:

lol naw its the right key its just been flangercized and sometimes interferes with the bass - its k tho - I like it :P

thanks for the review!

Synthesized Pathway

"Quite catchy i say..."

date: August 21, 2006

This is a very good song but the volume levels need to be worked on. The drums aren't loud enough and the "elec guitar" sample that plays for the first half of the song could be a little louder. I also think that you could use some better samples. Google is your friend :)

The constant change of intruments was a good thing as it kept the song entertaining and diverse.

Nice work, good luck with the contest.

"Very nice!"

date: August 21, 2006

This song is very enjoyable and nice to listen too. The intro synth is awesome.

I find this to be somewhat similar to what your other song that i reviewed. The drums could use a little bit of diversity. Like adding a double kick in some places or differ the hi hats or what not just to keep things nice and new.

Nice work on this song. Good luck with the contest.

Author's Response:

Actually, it only sounds similar because I used the same synth in both. Thanks for the review.

{ANT} - March of the Cyborgs

"Nice, i like."

date: August 21, 2006

Very 8-bit-ish instruments that sounded good. Some minor calrity issues. The intro was nice, the song is diverse enough not to become too repetitive, not borderline but not too far from it.

The song could have ended in a better way than with the fade out thing. The drums were nice in this song.

Nothing more to say except good luck with the contest.

Thanks.

Awesome song, energetic and packs a wallop lol.

How'd you manage so much reviews lol this is awesome congrats.

From beginning to end the song is just damn good. I liked everything about it and i don't have nothing more to say unfortunatly. Usually i go on about what i'd change or what feels wrong to me about the song but in this instance... nothing.

Great work, your are definitely getting awesome. Good luck with the contest.

Author's Response:

Thanks man! I hope I do well with the contest, I really want this to win, if not, my other piece that I might submit, and that I hope it wins if it does get submitted : )

-Thanks!

SpK*) - A Tankman's Message

"This is a dangerous group...."

date: August 21, 2006

The constant, incessing voice that you used in this song really killed the song for me... Maybe if you would have used the voice just in the intro and then moved on to something else.

The rest of the song was ok, a bit too simple and repetitive but it was ok. It's pretty hard to listen to this because of the voice abuse lol.

Not to my taste but i'm sure that others will enjoy it. Good luck with the contest.
